• Mar 26, 2022: “I recently took a snowboarding lesson at Fernie Alpine Resort and was paired with Lewis as my instructor. As a beginner, we worked on traversing on my heel and toe edges and initiating turns, with linking turns by the end of the two hour lesson as my ultimate goal. Lewis explained and demonstrated the skills in an easy-to-follow way. And peppered with casual conversation on the lifts, he managed to ease my nerves as a beginner snowboarder. Thanks to Lewis's patience, endless encouragement and positive energy, I was successfully linking turns by the end of the lesson!” 1
• Mar 6, 2022: “A group of us came to Fernie to ski for a week. The hill is great but the village is full of many employees who wish they had something better to do. Not all of course but the ones in the place that serves Starbucks coffee are the worst. Customer service in that place does not exist. There was nowhere in town to get a proper breakfast and that includes the city of Fernie. As far as dinners are concerned your choice at the hill is two places and they blame it all on Covid however other resorts in British Columbia are wide open. I was first at Fernie in 2003 and from then until now absolutely nothing in a positive way has happened. I definitely would not recommend going there when there are so many far better places to go. All the lifts are outdated except for one and the grooming is poor.” 2
